Inquiry Checklist
Custom Furnace Technical Proposal Checklist
Prepare a complete technical proposal request for custom SPS, vacuum, hot pressing, HIP, gas pressure, or diffusion welding furnace projects.
By Haoyue Technology

Start with the material and process objective
A useful custom furnace request begins with material, product form, target material property, process route, maximum temperature, atmosphere, pressure or load, workpiece size, batch capacity, and whether the system is for R&D, pilot, or production.
Define equipment boundaries
Clarify chamber size, hot-zone material, loading method, cooling requirement, vacuum system, gas system, control logic, data logging, safety interlocks, utilities, installation environment, and any automation or integration requirements.
Include commercial and delivery context
For faster review, include country or region, target delivery date, acceptance requirements, documentation language, installation and training needs, and the email address of the technical decision maker.
Process evidence and trials
Note whether process data already exists, for example recipes, trial results from another furnace, or literature parameters, and whether sample trials are wanted before the equipment order. This separates equipment capability from material validation.
Data, controls and documentation
Specify which channels must be recorded (temperature, vacuum, pressure or load, gas flow, displacement), the export format, alarm and interlock requirements, and the manuals, drawings, and certificates expected at delivery.
How to compare proposals
Use one written requirement for every supplier and ask each to state the work zone, hot-zone material, pump and gas package, control system, factory acceptance test, site scope, training, and spare parts. Differences in scope are easier to see than differences in catalogue limits.
For an industrial hot isostatic pressing project, the I5 hot isostatic press page shows the published work zone and pressure options to reference in the checklist.
